The Dead and Buried reader's response by Alicea Mendez 805

The book " The Dead and Buried" is about a girl named Jade Kelley. She had a perfect life in her old house in her old neighborhood. But she always wanted more. And her mom and dad always got what she wanted. But ever since her mom died and her dad remarried another woman named Marie, Jade felt like she was being treated like crap, being forgotten.
When they moved into a new house in boston, Jade had a feeling that something was wrong: 1. Why would the house have such a low price for the size (the house looked like a mini mansion)? 2. Why would their neighbors look at them funny whenever they came out of the house? and 3. Why is it she felt like there was a secret within the house that nobody wanted to tell them?
When Jade and her family settled down in the house, Jade got all of her questions answered, some more crazy than others. Her brother, Colby, started to see a girl in his room and, after befriending her for a little while, started to become scared of her. Colby said that she would get mad at him when she would talk to him becuse he would tell her that he can't hear her. Then, at her new school, she made friends with a girl named Faye. Faye explained everything that was being hidden from her:

The most popular girl in the entire school, was killed in that house after falling down the stairs. Some say that she fell by accident, while others say that she was murdered because she was pushed.

Jade tried to tell her dad, but her dad would believe his wife more than he did her. She told Marie, and she said that Jade was crazy. Then, when Colby ran up to Jade and told her that the girl was becoming violent, she tried to tell Marie again that the house was haunted because Colby said it himself, she accused Jade for "brainwashing her son ith these stories and she needed to stop".
At this point, Jade (and maybe the reader. Because I felt this way too.) was pissed at Marie for accusing her of these things.
So Jade decides to take matters into her own hands to try and save her house, save her family, and save her own life.......

(note: i am not currently finished with the book yet. So this is what i have so far to write about)
