Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel reader's response by Alicea Mendez

The book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel is about a kid named Greg Heffley (do I really have to introduce him?! Oh wait, I forgot some people never read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series..). He keeps a diary (or journal is what he calls it) to record his daily life. This time, Greg is overworked about a valentine's day dance. To raise money for the school to get new soft toilet paper for the school bathrooms (LONG story about that one: to make it short, the kids were complaining that the current toilet paper feels like sandpaper), the dance committee decided to make a dance for valentines day. But there is only one problem with that.:
Greg can't find a date to go to the dance with. All the girls that are options for him are either going with someone else, or don't want to go with him because he messed up his chance of going with them by doing something really stupid.
But he may have a chance of going to the dance with one of the girls on the dance committee His friend Rowley was elected social chairperson of the school. So he was always going to meetings about fundraising and stuff like that. So Greg asked him if he can hook her up with him...
But on the day of the dance, things went from bad to worse. Greg dirtied up his blazer, so he had to walk around without one, freezing. Then, they couldn't go into a fancy restaurant because  he wasn't dressed for the occasion. They ended up going to a kids restaurant. Then at the dance, it turned even worse than Greg imagined. His date was falling to pieces!
I don't want to say anymore because it'll mess up the book for others. But all I am going to say is that you will be surprised who ends up falling in love at the Valentine's Day Dance........

                                                           Goodbye!!!

My Sonnet

                                                                    Friendship

Friendship is like telling a deep secret
A secret that you only tell your friend
Only he or she can really keep it
And you will never tell until the end

Friendship is like the bright and shining stars
They may come into our life and they may go
The bond that you share is near and far
That special friendship will always be shown

Having a friend is special til the end
A special priviledge given to you
Like composing a text and pressing send
In hopes that they will answer to you too

Friendship is that something that ends never
Friendship is something that stays forever

Before I Fall reader's response by Alicea Mendez 805

The book "Before I fall" by Lauren Oliver, is about a girl named Samantha Kingston. She is living the life of luxury. She is one of the popular girls at her school, the others her best friends Lindsay, Ally, and Elody. She has the beautiful looks one would kill for, and the perfect boyfriend. She was even planning on having sex and losing her virginity with her boyfriend. She was living an above average life until The Accident.
One night her and her friends were driving along the road. First of all, Samantha wasn't wearing her seat belt: danger #1. Then, at the same time, Lindsay was smoking a cigarette inside the car: danger #2. And finally, Ally and Elody were fighting in the back seat over what song to play on Lindsay's iPod. That's when one of them elbowed Lindsay and she dropped her cigarette on her lap, taking her eyes off of the road. When she looked back up, she saw something flash in front of the car. The car veered of the road and into the ditch.
BOOM! They crashed. But Samantha was still conscious: the others were stunned. That's when she wondered if Lindsay put out her cigarette. The car caught fire.
There were no survivors. Every single one of them died.
The next day, though, Samantha wakes up! She thought it was all just a dream. Until it happened again. She died a second time. She then realizes that what is happening is she is reliving her death-day, until she figures out why she died, and how she can prevent it.
I haven't gotten far in the book, since i just started it. This is how far i got up to. I will continue to write about this book for, I would say, 1-2 more weeks (meaning 1-2 more blogs). So, yeah.......

                                                       Goodbye!
