The book " The Dead and Buried" is about a girl named Jade Kelley. She had a perfect life in her old house in her old neighborhood. But she always wanted more. And her mom and dad always got what she wanted. But ever since her mom died and her dad remarried another woman named Marie, Jade felt like she was being treated like crap, being forgotten.
When they moved into a new house in boston, Jade had a feeling that something was wrong: 1. Why would the house have such a low price for the size (the house looked like a mini mansion)? 2. Why would their neighbors look at them funny whenever they came out of the house? and 3. Why is it she felt like there was a secret within the house that nobody wanted to tell them?
When Jade and her family settled down in the house, Jade got all of her questions answered, some more crazy than others. Her brother, Colby, started to see a girl in his room and, after befriending her for a little while, started to become scared of her. Colby said that she would get mad at him when she would talk to him becuse he would tell her that he can't hear her. Then, at her new school, she made friends with a girl named Faye. Faye explained everything that was being hidden from her:
The most popular girl in the entire school, was killed in that house after falling down the stairs. Some say that she fell by accident, while others say that she was murdered because she was pushed.
Jade tried to tell her dad, but her dad would believe his wife more than he did her. She told Marie, and she said that Jade was crazy. Then, when Colby ran up to Jade and told her that the girl was becoming violent, she tried to tell Marie again that the house was haunted because Colby said it himself, she accused Jade for "brainwashing her son ith these stories and she needed to stop".
At this point, Jade (and maybe the reader. Because I felt this way too.) was pissed at Marie for accusing her of these things.
So Jade decides to take matters into her own hands to try and save her house, save her family, and save her own life.......
(note: i am not currently finished with the book yet. So this is what i have so far to write about)

The Day Satan Called: A True Encounter With Demon Possession and Exorcism reader's response by Alicea Mendez
The book "The Day Satan Called: A True Encounter With Demon Possession and Excorcism" is about a Christian man named Bill Scott. Now I am going to let you know ahead of time, this is a true story. The names have been change to protect the families of the people in this book. The only names that haven't been changed were his, his brother, his wife, and his best friend at the Church. If you don't like these kind of books, you may think "what the heck is this girl reading???". But this book is a really good book. A tad bit scary, since it talks about demons and Satan, so I recommend not reading this at 12 o'clock at night (I did it once, and I couldn't sleep because I had stopped reading a terrifying chapter, so I got paranoid that all the sounds I heard were demons...). ANYWAY! Back to the book.
One day, Bill was running his Christian Talk show, receiving calls from people that have questions about the Lord, wanting to repent, you know, stuff like that. Well, he got a phone call from a girl named Lacey. When he picked up the phone, he noticed that the girl was kind of whispering, like she didn't want anyone else to hear her conversation. He also noticed that she sounded terrified to be where she was at. He tried talking to her, when all of a sudden, this deep, dark, scary voice came on the phone. It told Bill that he cannot have Lacey, and that she was to be sacrificed on Halloween (which was that day). When Bill asked who he was talking to, and that he can't have Lacey and he shall kneel before god, the voice simply replied:
" I am Satan. And one day, I shall kneel before Him and accept Him as my Lord. But today is not that day." The next thing Bill knows, the phone gets disconnected.
Now after going back and forth with these calls, he then meets a girl named Roxanne. She tells him that she was at his church to protect Lacey from becoming a child of God, and that she shall be sacrificed. Thats when Roxanne's voice changed, she screamed, and then.... Demons started talking. All at the same time. Some men, some women, and even some animal growls came from her. Bill never saw anyhting like this before, and he felt that this girl must be going through agony the way Lacey was going through. That's when Roxanne said that Lacey actually lives inside her, and that she was the one on the phone, and that Lacey was talking, and not her. This surprised him. How can this be?HE HAS A WITCH INSIDE HIS CHURCH ASKING TO BECOME A CHILD OF GOD FOR HER AND LACEY'S SAKE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!
This book talks about Bill's experiences that have gone on for 18 months. Through this time, he feels that he " has been through Hell and back with Roxanne". No pun intended. Included in these experiences, is him trying to save her, finding out how to rid these demons from her, and having to rid demons from his own home!
I don't want to go into any further detail because there are some people that do not like reading these kind of books and I don't want to scare them. But if you want to read this book for yourself to see how Bill dealt with this whole situation, you know the title of the book already. you can just go online to the Barnes & Noble website (www.bn.com), put in the search box the title of the book, and you can either buy the paperback copy (either have it shipped to your house or you can go to the store and pick it up/buy it there), or for those of you with a nook, download it into your nook like I did and enjoy. so yeah....TOODLES!!!
