The girls were having a sleepover when Allison suddenly went missing after going outside to get a breath of fresh air. Some say she probably tripped and fell down a well nearby. Others say it aas revenge....
A year or two before, the girls were going to get revenge on a kid named Toby Cavanaugh. He was the creepiest kid in the neighborhood, popping up out of nowhere. Allison had the bright idea of shooting a firework into his treehouse when he was in there. Which she did. But it backfired when the ambulance came and carried out his stepsister, Jenna. They felt so bad. And Toby wanted to tell on them. But Allison had something against him to keep his mouth shut and take the blame.
As you would learn in "Flawless", the second book of the series, Toby used to molest Jenna. The night of the accident, Allison and Spencer saw Toby in the treehouse with Jenna. He was unhooking her bra when he saw Allison, then BOOM! Jenna ended up being blinded.
Allison's disappearence made the girls life even worse. A person named A started to stalk them and started to tease them with all of the screw-ups in their lives: Emily started to to be attracted to other girls ( by the way, she had made out with Allison in the past), Hana turned from a fat nerd to the talk of the whole school (her secret, throwing up at least three times a day), Aria's dad having an affair with one of his students, and Spencer having an affair with her sister's boyfriend( a note, her sister's boyfriend likes spencer more!). In the end at Allison's funeral ( she was found dead and buried in her backyard), all the girls thought that Allison was A, being that only she knew about the girls problem, but at the end, they all got a text from A stating:
"Im still here bitches!! And I know everything- A"
They were all surprised. A was someone else! But who else would know all of their deepest secrets besides Allison......?
